“The best part of wakin’ up is Folgers in your cup…”
This famous jingle from the early 1990s may have offered a catchy tune, but this isn’t the reason you will find five to seven canisters of the caffeinated grind on the shelves of my pantry!
It is no surprise to readers that I am an avid consumer of coffee. I drink coffee in the morning, in the afternoon, and yes, even in the evening. My craving for the drink does not seem to acknowledge any sort of designated drinking time. (Yes, I always drink the fully caffeinated brew.) While I appreciate a smooth, bold cup, I am certainly not a coffee snob. Enter Folgers.
As a household, we became loyal to Folgers several years ago. At around thirty- five cents a ground ounce, the blend meets demands for taste and affordability-something to consider when purchasing the volume we do!
Another plus for Folgers is that I have found this ground coffee is not persnickety when it comes to the appliance that produces the delightful finished product. I use an old-school electric percolator; however, because I have hauled my reliable Folgers on travels from Kansas to Maine, I have used drip machines, a French press, and even a Keurig to get my coffee fixed. I know I am guaranteed that familiar, smooth, bold cup as long Folgers is what goes into the machine.
What’s in your cup?
